DAWN CLAYTON

Dawn the owner & director of NMDC, has been dancing for over 25 years as well as sharing her love for teaching since the age of 17. In addition, she has won numerous awards in the past & present for her award winning choreography at competitions. Her passion for dance has allowed her to work with top leading choreographers in the industry. She has has had the honor of working with such artists as Ludacris, Usher, Magic Juan & Cuban Link to name a few. She also has experience in background dancing in television & film. She has danced for shows on MTV such as "Say What Kareoke" & "Becoming presents Wannabes", as well as the MA's Pre-Show. It has been Dawn's lifelong dream to open her own studio & share her passion of dance through teaching. She teaches with heart & enthusias, which is shown through her energetic personality. Dawn expresses her creative abilities through dance, which you will see in her choreography as well as in the classroom. She loves to inspire, mentor & build self esteem through the art of dance. BREA BOLL

Miss Brea has been dancing since the age of 2. She continued dancing competively through out high school at Tip Tap Toe Dance Studio, where she had obtained special awards. She was the Captain of JMHS dance team in which she is now the head coach. Miss Brea has been teaching and choreographing for 15 years & within the time has obtained numerous choreography awards for her work. She studied at both Ocean County College & Georgian Court University, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.

Miss Brea has been technically trained in various styles of dance. She also continues her training by taking classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps & continuing to attend conventions such as Jump, Pulse, Monsters, Nuvo & More.

SPARKLE & is elated to be apart of the NMDC Faculty.

JAMIE CUOMO

Jamie began her dance studies at Dance Stop in Old Bridge, NJ from the early age of 2. Over the years at Dance Stop, she has had the pleasure to train with some of the top leaders in the industry such as Al Blackstone, Gina Forcella, Sara Pyun, Rosemary Sabovick-Bleich, Katie Drablo, among others. Jamie has also worked with guest choreographers Such as Sidra Bell, Daniel Gwirtzman, & Titalayo Majoyeogbe. Miss Jamie currently graduated with her BA in dance performance at Georgian Court University. While at GCU, she has studied ballet, modern, improvisation & choreography under the direction of Silvana Cardell, Steven Vaughn, Hee Ra Yo, Erin Bonczek, Will Robinson, Megan Mazarick, Michaela Rae Mann & Nora Gibson. Alongside her studies, Jamie Choreographed plays for the schools in her community.  Some highlights include: Once on this Island, Beauty and the Beast, Willy Wonka, Shrek, Bye Bye Birdie, James and the Giant Peach and The Lion King at Carl Sanburg Middle School in Old Bridge, NJ. Jamie is excited to Be working at New Movement Dance Center where she can share her love & knowledge for dance with her students.

ASHLEY ADAMS

Miss Ashley started dancing at the age of 2 1/2. She attended Dance Dynamics in Howell for over fifteen years, where she studied tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, street jazz, pointe, kick line & hip hop. At the age of 4  1/2 Miss Ashley started competing at dance competitions with her studio & performed her very first solo. At her Dance studio she traveled to many out of state competitions such as Las Vegas & Myrtle Beach for Nationals. In 1999 her studio was asked to perform at Magic Kingdom, Orlando. At the young age of 13 she was accepted into Howell High School’s performing arts program (FPAC) where the next four years she studied in jazz, modern, ballet, acting & singing. Her second year in the program she was given a scholarship to attend the summer arts program in the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, NJ. During her years in FPAC she attended many classes at Broadway Dance Center & Alvin Ailey school of dance, as well as attended different shows. Every year she participated in three main performances “The Eve of Dance”, “The Eve of Choreography“, & “The Final Showcase”. After highschool she continued taking dance classes & since then has been teaching various styles of dance through out the NJ area.

KATIE BORRELLO

Katie has been dancing since the age of three. She received her early training from several studios in Monmouth and Ocean County, where she trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, and danced competitively. Katie is a graduate from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania and holds a BA in Dance. While attending DeSales, she studied Dance Technique, Teaching Methods in Dance, Dance Composition, Improvisation, Dance History, and Kinesiology. She trained with professional artists such as Trinette Singleton, Tara Madsen-Robbins, Tim Cowart, and Angela Sigley Grossman, and also performed works choreographed by guest artists such as Camille Armstrong, Jeff Shade, and Gregory Dolbashian. She performed and participated at the American College Dance Association at Ohio University and Hofstra University.


Katie has interned with major tap festivals such as Jersey Tap Fest and Tap City, and has performed repertory works under the direction of Germaine Goodson. Katie was previously a member of Anthony LoCascio’s #Taplife Company and worked as the Assistant Company Manager for the group. During her time with the company, she had the privilege to perform in tap dance shows in New York City and participate in various dance festivals throughout the tri-state area. Katie is very excited to be a part of the NMDC faculty and share her love of dance with her students!
